Shock Wave Therapy
Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy London
Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) is a multidisciplinary device used in orthopaedics, physiotherapy and sports medicine to promote fast pain relief and tissue restoration. Together with being a non-surgical therapy with no need for painkillers, it makes it an ideal therapy to speed up the recovery of a variety of acute or chronic musculoskeletal conditions. A number of our physiotherapists here at Atherapy are trained in using this modality and it can be used as part of your ongoing treatment programme or you could be referred directly to us from a consultant who requests a set period of specific ESWT treatment. We commonly see this modality used when treating tendon injuries at numerous sites on the body and also on plantar fasciitis.
Very professional and caring treatment. Jael is clearly a very good physio ... got me back on track well, managed my expectations ... definitely recommend going to see her.
Victoria was a fantastic help! I would recommend her very highly. She got me back up to speed quickly and she really educated me on new exercises and ways to look after yourself to make sure you are fine in the long-run!
I came to see Alex Q. with chronic Achilles tendinopathy. Alex was extremely knowledgeable about the condition and put in place a plan that has got me back running competitively. I am very grateful to him for managing my expectations and keeping me patient. It has been worth it!

I can thoroughly recommend Alex at Atherapy. His approach is positive and supportive and the programme he provided has been fundamental to my rapid progress in preparation for my first half marathon.
Went to see David about a recurring issue. David is Exceptionally knowledgeable and every session was very helpful. Will definitely visit him again.
Ian has been great in helping me with my rehabilitation for a sciatic problem that has persisted for a few years now. I am seeing results at a faster pace than I was expecting. I cannot recommend highly enough.
